Pickerington Ohio Music

Sutherland, who was born in Pickerington, is part of a very small group that has turned a long-held passion for the performing arts into a career. He played every hour of the day and spent years studying the instrument before he began to deal with it. In the summer of 2009, after waking up at 5am every morning to stay late with his guitar in his bedroom at his parents "home in Pickington, he played for hours on end for days. Sutherland also visited Pickeredton students at Diley Elementary School to perform songs and talk to the children.

In the final years of high school, Sutherland began performing at local festivals such as the Ohio State Fair and the Columbus Music Festival. He also played with the Cincinnati-based pop-rap group Round2Crew called California Time and played with them several times, including in March at the Rumba Cafe in Columbus. While he lost his usual nerves during the performance, he relaxed by joking around with the band and crew backstage.

He has opened up to national artists such as Ariana Grande and Zendaya and performed shows for the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Katy Clinton. Taking an R & B direction, he described his new single "Bad Influences," released on December 1, as his first foray into the pop rap genre.
